About our Lead Pastor
Pastor Emily Nelson received her Masters Degree in Ministry Leadership from Portland Seminary (through George Fox University). She was ordained by the Free Methodist Church in 2018, and has been serving in various roles at Mountain View since 2014. She is wife of 22 years to Dan, and proud mom to Ethan, Eliora and Haddie. Emily is passionate about helping people learn to follow Jesus in everyday life, and loves outdoor adventures in Central Oregon.

About our Associate Family Pastor
Pastor Zay Harris brings contagious energy and a deep passion for kids, youth, and families. He has been part of the MVF team since November 2024 and has made a meaningful impact from the start. Zay holds a BA in Youth Ministry and an MA in Christian Leadership from Multnomah University, where he also competed in track and field for four years. He is a devoted husband to his wife, Abby, and a proud father to their two boys, Ezra and Gideon. Above all, Zay loves God and loves people—what more could you ask for?
About Our Office Administrator
Cathy Helie retired after 50 years in accounting and TV/Radio media. In 2020, she started attending MVF during COVID and quickly realized this was the place she wanted to plant her roots and serve. Cathy started as MVF Administrator in 2023 and serves on the Tech Team (usually hidden behind the monitor in the tech booth on Sundays). She is wife of 52 years to Bill, mom to adult children Eric and Jessica, and Nana to 6 grandkids ranging from 10-27 yrs old. Cathy enjoys working in the yard, doing alterations and volunteering. She loves serving alongside so many here at MVF!
About our Worship leader
Ryan Bolen has been a part of various church worship teams for the past 18+ years as well as a youth group worship leader. He and his wife Julia have 2 young adult children, Emily and Evan. When he’s not working his day job or preparing for Sunday, you can often find Ryan out rock climbing at Smith Rock State Park or out on the trails enjoying the beauty of God’s Earth.

Sunday morning services are a great place to begin getting plugged in at Mountain View. From there, deeper relationships are formed in small groups and serving opportunities where we practice our faith and get real together.
